The osmium used in Hephaistos I is sourced directly from the Osmium-Institut. The bars were provided in the context of the prototype's development and form the basis for integrating this rare material into the system.
The ring is also presented in collaboration with the Osmium-Institut at GemGenève.
The material's origin is unambiguously traceable and conforms to the documented standards of the institute.
Osmium-InstitutThe realisation takes place in close collaboration with Precious Metal Casting (PMC), a Swiss manufactory specialised in the working of precious metals. Together, every step of fabrication is carried out at the highest level of goldsmithing — from precise casting through demanding metalwork to the final polish and refinement.
PMC brings deep expertise in handling complex geometries, the finest tolerances, and high-grade alloys.
The foundation is the system developed and patented by Tre Facce. Combined with PMC's craftsmanship, an object emerges in which technical construction and goldsmithing are wholly intertwined.
Swiss ManufactoryThe gemstones are examined beforehand as selected lots — including ruby and emerald — for authenticity, origin and quality, and documented by the Gübelin Gem Lab.
Following this initial analysis, the setting is undertaken by specialised master setters during fabrication. After the ring's full assembly, the object is presented again to the Gübelin Gem Lab, where the set stones are matched against the original examinations and recorded in a comprehensive certificate.
This procedure follows an established, standardised process within gemstone examination. On request, the client may select alternative independent laboratories.
